- Ideally 3 years' experience in the same or similar role.
- Exposure to and experience with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement ideologies.
- Applies lateral thinking, displaying an ability to identify solutions.
- Motivated with strong people management skills and experience.
- National Certificate in Frame and Truss Manufacturing an advantage
- Experience with MiTek technology will be an advantage.
- Knowledge of NZS 3604: 2011 and an understanding of construction methodology
- Up-to-date timber and building knowledge.
- Can determine timber requirements and apply knowledge of timber structure construction and make effective judgments.
- Ability to cope under pressure and to work to deadlines.
- A quick and alert mind with ability to adapt and be flexible.
- Effective problem-solving ability.
- Ability to read technical documents and drawings.

- Overall responsibility for all scheduling and manufacturing requirements including setting up, management and maintenance of Smartsheet administration and any developments needed.
- Overall management of data input and integrity of the data to ensure an efficient and accurate workflow for the technical, production and dispatch divisions.
- Proactively working with internal and external stakeholders to keep the data accurate and relevant to ensure an efficient and accurate workflow for the technical, production and dispatch divisions:
- Ensure communication with clients and customers is professional and aligns with our terms and conditions to manage any potential exposure including leading the communication with reps, clients, and builders to ensure an efficient and accurate workflow for the technical, production and dispatch divisions.
- Ensure the schedule reflects the jobs being manufactured are the jobs needed on site.
- Lead the dispatch function for the business.
- Implementation of LEAN and other manufacturing initiatives.
- Ensure remedials are dealt with quickly and professionally.
- Manage and lead the production team in our factory to ensure the production schedule is attained.
- Grow capability of the production team
- Understand and operate within the regulatory environment as it applies to frame and truss construction.
- Support the creation and maintenance of an environment of safety, accountability, teamwork and performance.
- Ensure the effective internal and external stakeholder management.
- Ensure site complies with all WorkSafe legislative requirements.
- Ensure the completion of daily, weekly and monthly checklists and audits.
- Manage, coordinate and ensure all user defined maintenance is carried out as per preventative maintenance plan.
