The position offers a chance to be part of an innovative multi-disciplinary breast service team. The breast radiology consultant role handles both symptomatic and screening work within this comprehensive medical environment. With a dynamic range of services at hand, the position presents an excellent opportunity to contribute to a critical health provision within a highly regarded institution.Responsibilities

Contribute actively to the service's skill base, working with a multidisciplinary team consisting of, among others, surgeons, specialist breast care nurses, medical imaging technologists’ sonographers, community and administrative teams.
Deliver both symptomatic and screening breast work as well as potentially general radiology.
Utilise a wide range of modern equipment and techniques including digital mammography units, ultrasound, biopsy tools and more.

Requirements

A recognised medical degree
FRANZCR or equivalent specialist radiology qualification
Eligibility for specialist (or locum tenens) registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand in a Diagnostic and interventional radiology vocational scope of practice
Demonstrated competency in symptomatic and screening breast work
