The position offers a chance to be part of an innovative multi-disciplinary breast service team. The breast radiology consultant role handles both symptomatic and screening work within this comprehensive medical environment. With a dynamic range of services at hand, the position presents an excellent opportunity to contribute to a critical health provision within a highly regarded institution.Responsibilities
- Contribute actively to the service's skill base, working with a multidisciplinary team consisting of, among others, surgeons, specialist breast care nurses, medical imaging technologists’ sonographers, community and administrative teams.
- Deliver both symptomatic and screening breast work as well as potentially general radiology.
- Utilise a wide range of modern equipment and techniques including digital mammography units, ultrasound, biopsy tools and more.
- A recognised medical degree
- FRANZCR or equivalent specialist radiology qualification
- Eligibility for specialist (or locum tenens) registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand in a Diagnostic and interventional radiology vocational scope of practice
- Demonstrated competency in symptomatic and screening breast work
- Competitive salary NZD 200000-350000 PA
