EXCITING OPPORTUNITY TO LEAD REMOTELY:A progressive organisation is reshaping resource management. They need a dynamic Remote/Hybrid Resource Consents Team Leader to pioneer their team, blending innovation with tradition for community development's future.RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Lead the Resource Consents Team, ensuring adherence to regulatory procedures, particularly under the Resource Management Act 1991.
  • Manage timely processing of resource consent applications and related decisions.
  • Develop and maintain efficient systems to support the team's statutory obligations.
CONTRIBUTION TO MISSION:
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team aligned with the organisations values.
  • Collaborate with management to set strategic direction for resource management.
  • Enhance customer experience and satisfaction through effective complaint handling and continuous improvement initiatives.
ADDITIONAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
  • Conduct staff appraisals and oversee performance indicators.
  • Coordinate staff training and ensure compliance with policies.
  • Contribute to policy development and process enhancements.
  • Maintain professional relationships with stakeholders and ensure consistent decision-making.
  • Support community confidence in legislative compliance.
  • Foster cultural sensitivity and awareness in all interactions.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Tertiary qualification in resource management.
  • Minimum five years of relevant experience.
  • Minimum two years of staff management experience.
  • Desired skills include report writing, resilience, and flexibility.
  • Commitment to community welfare and continual improvement.
  • Strong stakeholder relationship-building skills.
