Duties within your team include:

Planning tasks with the supervisor, and following up to ensure they are completed efficiently and to the required specification and standard
Ensuring efficient use of materials, supplies, and equipment
Providing and organizing on-the-job development/training for the team and supporting general career development

Nga pūkenga matua | Important SkillsTo be successful in this challenging yet rewarding role, you will have extensive knowledge of quality and H&S ideologies within a civil construction/maintenance environment. Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving and communication skills will serve you well in this role.In addition, you will also have:

Knowledge of and experienced in civil construction specifications and procedures
Previous experience in a similar position within the civil construction / roading industry
A flexible work approach to deal with unexpected events/make decisions and provide direction to work teams, as no two days are the same
High standard of workmanship
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
