Beca multi-disciplinary business gives us the opportunity to work on a hugely diverse range of projects for blue chip clients on some of Northland's most iconic projects. Our projects include some of the most significant Engineering, Cadastral and Land Development projects in the Northland region, nationally and across the Pacific region. Our varied workload means you will be given the opportunity to specialise or diversify your skills across any area of survey, be it topographic, cadastral, set-out or supporting our reality capture team.We are looking for someone with a good base of knowledge of survey techniques and has an interest in taking on more responsibility for project delivery. You will be pricing up and scoping work, briefing the team, managing project timelines and budgets. This opportunity will allow you to take on client-facing roles while being supported by a strong leadership team.Job Responsibilities
  • Managing a variety of surveying projects
  • Develops scope, prepares budgets, and direct communication with the client
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Process survey data, including GPS & total station.
  • Digitally review survey deliverables, including Civil 3D and 12D files
  • Ensure projects meet QA/QC processes
About youYou will have a keen interest in project delivery. You will be confident managing a team, while also happy to roll up the sleeves and do what's necessary to get the job done.With a desire to grow your skills and develop yourself professionally and share your knowledge whilst learning from those around you. You will build on the culture we have in the company, holding people to account while creating an environment where everyone can develop and prosper.Ideally, you will start with a good level of competency in a variety of survey techniques GNSS, robotic total stations, and survey software, (proficiency in 12d would be preferred but not essential) and be able to apply this to pricing work and delivering projects. An interest in developing business acumen would be an advantage.More importantly, we are looking for someone who embraces challenges, loves to learn and leads with a mindset of continual improvement. You will be a value-driven person who enjoys sharing your colleagues' successes and delivering excellence for your clients.
