We make communities better for people to live, work and play in – keeping the lights on, the trees trimmed and the parks green.The role:The Timaru team is looking for someone to join this fast paced crew, primarily working within the Timaru and Mackenzie regions fulfilling the requirements of our clients needs.The successful applicant will need to be able to be either skilled or upskilled in the various pieces of machinery including Mowers and Spray equipment.This is a hands-on role which involves both supervising a small team and undertaking general Vegetation tasks and duties. The role involves a variety of grounds maintenance, weed spray operations, mowing and pilot driving for our main customers in the area.About you:

  • Ability to handle the physical demands of the role
  • Exhibits tidy and methodical work practices

  • Excellent attendance and Health and Safety record
What you need to succeed:
  • Hands on experience and a good understanding of environmental laboring (machinery operation, spraying, mowing equipment, and vegetation control);
  • Understands and adheres to Health & Safety guidelines and best practice;
  • Enjoys working outside in all weather;
  • Must be physically fit and able;
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude;
  • A current and clean Driver’s license class 1;
  • TC/ STMS desirable
  • A proven record of being a team player with experience supervising small teams
