We are seeking a motivated individual to help us look after a 950 split calving farm in the Whangarei area
Our ideal applicant will have a minimum of 2 years experiences in a New Zealand farming system, with a genuine passion for farming and cows and have a real desire to succeed in the industry.
Experience with tractor operation, two and four wheel motor bike would be an advantage but all training can and will be provided.
We also offer and encourage extra off farm training with course work to help develop skill through primary ItoWe milk in a 50 bail rotary cow shed with all the mod cons (auto cup removers, auto drafting, in shed feeding and auto teat spray) we also have a covered feed pad that we use daily.
The job will require you to, but not limited to
-daily milking of cows
-plant and shed hygiene
- machinery operation (feeding out and loading mixer wagon, grass silage fert application ect)
-pest and weed management
-general farm/fencing maintenance
-assisting with the monitoring of animal health (mastitis,lameness, calving cows )
-will be self motivated and punctual with good time management
-can work in a team and also by your self to achieve tasks when required
-Good communication skill not afraid to ask question or for help when needed

There could also be a great opportunity here with us for any applicants with partners to get seasonal relief work from time to time also, not essential but
Relief milking, tractor driving, helping cover rosters and when someone may be away , weeds and maintance ect could be available also
