Electricity - Network Access PlannerNew PlymouthAbout the roleYou will be part of the team that processes applications for access to the Powerco electricity network. Your communication skills will enable you to negotiate obstacles and address issues to manage, plan and coordinate outages effectively.We are seeking candidates with solid electrical experience. You may be an electrician, have previous field experience from an electricity distribution environment, or a related electrical industry. You will be working in a supportive team environment that offers training in the specific skills you require.This role will suit a team player who likes to take ownership of their work. If you enjoy working in a varied, fast paced and diverse environment, while continuing to develop your knowledge please apply today.Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Minimum of five years' electrical experience (HV an advantage)
  • Knowledge of substation and underground/overhead HV operating systems would be desirable
  • Knowledge of protection systems and other substation equipment would be desirable
  • Understanding of Health & Safety requirements and legal compliance
Desirable Skills:
  • Great relationship building skills with the ability to interact and communicate at various levels across the organisation and with external customers/contractors
  • Ability to work in a highly technical situation utilising various computer programs and commitment to maintain and update technical knowledge
  • Outstanding organisational skills with the ability to prioritise work and exercise independent judgment, common sense and initiative
