About the Role:We are on the lookout for an inspiring leader with a passion for nurturing the growth and development of our biggest tamariki, aged 4-5 years old at BestStart Waiuku. We're looking for an exceptional Qualified Early Childhood Head Teacher to lead our preschool room, where tamariki represent the mighty Kauri Tree and embark on a remarkable journey of learning.These young explorers have a profound connection to the natural world. They actively participated in planting our central Kauri Tree within the playground and possess a deep love for exploring the wonders of the environment. They even care for their own beloved chickens, regularly feeding and nurturing them, and cultivate a thriving vegetable garden they help maintain, plant, and harvest throughout the year.Our center's guiding principle is simple but powerful: "Whanau raising Whanau," emphasizing the sense of family and community that defines our center.As the Head Teacher, you will lead, drive, and promote the philosophy of our center, embodying what we stand for. You'll foster strong connections and provide support to our families and team members, cultivating robust relationships and serve as a dynamic leader, championing our center's vision and the flourishing development of our tamariki.If you're ready to guide our young learners in their exploration of the natural world, inspire them to be confident and curious, and lead a team of dedicated teachers, we invite you to apply and become an integral part of the BestStart Waiuku family.This is a permanent position working 40 hours Monday-FridayRole requirements:We're looking for a natural leader who shares our values and vision who has a good understanding of programme planning and assessment as well as a drive and passion for growth.As well as:

B Ed/Dip Teaching Level 7 (ECE or Primary) and current Teacher Certification
A strong understanding of programme planning, pedagogy and curriculum
Good knowledge of the current ECE Regulations, Te Whariki and hold compliance in a high regard
Passion and commitment for teaching and learning with a focus on delivering quality
