Company: MarshDescription:Marsh is seeking candidates for the following position based in the Wellington office:Principal - CorporateWhat can you expect?As a Principal in our Corporate practice you will be responsible for ensuring a high degree of quality risk and insurance advice as well as customer service is always provided to clients. You will also contribute to the achievement of the branch operational and strategic business plans and objects whilst contributing towards to the company’s profit objectives through the effective management and attain of branch revenue and expense budget.What is in it for you?Marsh strongly believes in “Feeling comfortable bringing your whole self to work is a fundamental right of every colleague.” We offer following benefits to our employees so they feel valued each day at work:Leading training and development program.Agile workspace with flexible working.Professional environment where your career path really matters and is supported in our global organization.Great team environment with energetic and supportive colleagues.We will count on you to:Plan and implement clear and effective renewal and broking strategies, ensuring renewal performance exceeds set targets.Create a positive client retention and development focus amongst all the team by encouraging regular communication of client status and promptly addressing current retention issues.Maximise the Company’s national and global resources by maintaining and communicating the facilities and capabilities available through the Company.Ensure you meet service standards agreed in client service agreements.Manage all expenses to maintain close control of expenditure by remaining intimately aware of costs against budget.Maximise account profitability through the implementation of efficient and effective work practices, adequate client billing and sensible expense control.Develop and maintain meaningful working relationships with insurers, frequently monitor environmental, leadership and other changes within client industries to preserve and protect the Company's relationship at all times.Ensure colleagues (where appropriate) possess and apply a thorough understanding of the client's business, risk management and insurance needs to ensure that our services and programs continue to meet with their needs and expectations.Act as a representative of the company at industry functions, meetings, or events.Adhere strictly to the Company's Quality practices and other systems and procedures.Possess and apply a thorough understanding of all major classes of insurance which the Company offers to its clients and keep abreast of all new technical and product developments.Possess and apply a thorough working knowledge of all aspects of relevant insurance legislation including the Marine Insurance Act and Insurance Law Reform Act, Fire & Emergency Services Levy, EQC Levy, Stamp Duties, GST, and other relevant legislation and keep abreast of all new developments.Personally comply with the Company's Errors and Omissions avoidance procedures and ensure that no Errors and Omissions occur.What you need to have:Achieve and maintain NZ Certificate in Financial Services (Level 5) in accordance with the Code of Professional Conduct for Financial Advice Services.Completion and application of areas of professional development in progressive studies such as Leadership, Management, Negotiation, Presentation, Broking, and Project Management as they are offered.Insurance qualifications (ANZIIF or similar).Degree preferred.About Marsh:is the world’s leading insurance broker and risk adviser.
