Ours is a fast-paced, inspiring, and truly customer-focused culture - where your career will connect you to real opportunities, while balancing work and whānau life.In this key role, you'll be responsible for providing high quality technical and non-technical (soft skills) training to KiwiRail staff and other operators in the rail network. It is anticipated that you will develop training modules and packages that align with other technical training organisations or controlling bodies such as EWRB to ensure compliance is met. Your pride and passion for this work means you will be deeply involved in our learner's progression and be able to prompt them to complete their tasks for their continued education within the STTE field.You will be expected to hold and keep current a range of LTOs and certifications in areas which align with your operational work experience and leverage subject matter expertise as required.Working closely with the Learning Delivery Team Leader, you will be an active member of the wider Learning and Development Team and function and be involved in the STTE Technical Committee. This includes contributing to the continuous improvement of training and learning, collaborating on projects as required and supporting colleagues by sharing information and knowledge.Ideally you will be based in Auckland, but we are open to the right person to be located anywhere in NZ.What you'll needWe are looking for an outstanding communicator with strong interpersonal skills - someone who is confident with public speaking and facilitating to groups of peers. Someone who can lead themselves and is enthusiastic about ensuring our staff are well-trained and following zero harm practices will ensure your success in this role.Additionally, you must have:
  • A minimum of five years within the Signals field
  • Level 3 Signals qualification
  • Electrician registration
  • Well-developed computer literacy with a sound knowledge of MS Office applications
