  • Drive initiatives that make it safer and easier to get around
  • Work with central and local government, tāngata whenua and businesses to deliver our shared transport vision, the Transport System Plan (TSP) - a 30 year plan with over 80 projects on-the-go
Te Tūranga | About the roleAs the Manager for Transport Infrastructure Outcomes, your primary responsibility will be to strategically lead the planning and delivery our capital transport projects to generate the best outcomes for our community.The key deliverables, for this role is:
  • Work closely with our internal and external stakeholders
  • Provide an integrated approach to project delivery to maintain the required service to our customers, stakeholders and users of the transport network
  • Build trust and confidence with our partners, our community and governance
  • Team management of a large cross-functional team
  • Provide a high level of project assurance
  • Build organizational systems, capability and capacity to meet future needs
Ngā Pukenga | What you'll need to succeedTo succeed in this role, you'll bring:
  • Relevant degree in Engineering or similar field
  • 10+ years' experience in programme delivery for either; buildings, roads, waters, rails, port
  • Exposure to managing large cross functional teams
  • Commercially savvy, astute with contractor and stakeholder management
  • Ability to provide programme assurance
  • Capability to take a wide lens approach to problems to help overcome roadblocks
  • Business management
  • Experienced in working with the community, being outward facing and converting a community understanding into successful planning and delivery.
