In both roles you will ensure plant is inducted and fit for purpose, complete pre-start checks and work with our Surfacing team to help deliver work for our customers safely, on time and to the highest quality standard. In the beginning the trainee sprayer operator will sit with our experienced sprayer operator operating the side spray bar, helping with bitumen transfers & hand spraying. While this is a trainee role, we are also looking for someone with mechanical aptitude therefore not necessarily new to the workforce. The General machine operators will work within the surfacing team doing various general duties including papers, roller operating & chip running.Responsibilities

Complete all necessary pre-start and machinery checks.
Liaise with customers and the team on site to fulfil their requirements.
You will train, under supervision, to operate the bitumen sprayer for spray sealing
Any other general tasks as required

What you’ll bring to the table

Full Clean Class 4 licence and dangerous goods for the sprayer operator & class 2 Licence for the general duties.
WTR endorsements (we can assist with this for the right person)
NZIHT Bitumen sprayer operator (we can assist with this for the right person)
NZIHT plant and tanker operator (we can assist with this for the right person)
Full Bitumen training will be provided as per the Fulton Hogan bitumen policy.
