In this role, you’ll work alongside our established water crews, taking responsibility for the installation of new water mains and the maintenance of existing infrastructure across our network on a day-to-day basis.In addition to the responsibilities mentioned above, you will also:Install new water mains and make the necessary connectionsConnect water services for both commercial and residential properties, including the installation of backflow preventersCarry out pipe installation and maintenance, using both small and large plant equipmentConduct pressure testing and sterilisation of new mains prior to their connection to existing networksInstall valves, hydrants, and other associated water main fittingsBe flexible regarding working hours, as occasional weekend work may be requiredGood Work equals Good BenefitsTime and a half after 8 hours per dayKiwiSaver employer contributionsFuel discount cardParental leave top-up payment with additional return to work supportFamily scholarshipsOngoing training and development, career growth and progression opportunitiesGreat discounts at a wide range of retailersMedical insuranceLife insuranceAt Fulton Hogan, we genuinely care about the wellbeing of our people and giving them the tools and opportunities, they need to succeed and grow with us.We are seeking an individual with the following attributes:Holds a Class 2 licence and WTR endorsementAt least 5 years' experience in Water Infrastructure and MaintenanceStrong knowledge of water reticulation systems, with demonstrated skills in electrofusion and butt-fusion weldingAble to interpret and work from technical drawingsEither possesses, or is actively working towards, a Level 3 Water Qualification (minimum required)Communicates effectively with colleagues and managementSelf-motivated, approachable, and works well within a team environmentPhysically fit, prepared to be hands-on and undertake practical tasksDisplays a proactive, can-do attitude and is capable of troubleshooting on-siteSolid understanding of site safety and hazard managementFully committed to personal safety and the wellbeing of othersCreating, Connecting and caring for the communityOur people regularly donate their time to local causes and initiatives, while at a regional and national level we provide financial support, skills, and resources to a wide range of organisations that are strengthening our communities.
