This role varies from day to day depending on the requirements of the ward.You will be responsible for:
  • Supporting nursing staff
  • Cleaning and setting up rooms
  • Restocking rooms & equipment trolleys
  • Ordering supplies
  • Some interaction with tamariki & whanau as directed by nursing staff
Please note this position has minimal patient contact.About the ServiceChildren's Emergency Care has been designed especially for tamariki and whānau. This is reflected not only in the child and family friendly environment, but also by the collaborative way the multidisciplinary healthcare team work together in partnership with whānau to provide the best possible health outcomes for the tamariki who spend time there.About youYou will enjoy working as part of a multidisciplinary team, have excellent interpersonal and organisational skills, a high level of confidentiality, and the ability to work well under pressure.
  • Experience as a Healthcare Assistant or similar is desirable
  • Ability to work all shifts Morning, Afternoon and Nights - Monday to Sunday
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Effective time management and ability to prioritise
  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively autonomously and in a multidisciplinary team
  • Initiative and a proactive approach to work
  • Ability to use and navigate a computer for ordering supplies
