As well as providing Ambulance Services, our programmes and team of over 11,000 staff and volunteers are helping to build strong, resilient communities across the motu; supporting everyone in Aotearoa to live healthier, happier and longer livesJob DescriptionHe aha te tūranga - About the role:We have an opportunity for a qualified and experienced Critical Care Paramedic to join our team, working alongside both paid and volunteer staff and provide a high level of care to our patients.This is a full time position, working a 4 x 4 days only roster in Whangārei (start and finish) with an expectation to travel to the Mid North/Kaikohe/Kerikeri area and respond from there as needed.The role requires you to be:
  • adaptable and able to settle into our team with ease.
  • have a positive demeanour.
  • willing to contribute to station portfolios, and
  • champion clinical excellence
QualificationsKo wai koe - About you:To be considered for this role, you will have:
  • A current Hato Hone St John Authority to Practice at the CCP level (Internship not available)
  • Current Registration and Annual Practicing Certificate (APC) from Te Kaunihera Manapou Paramedic Council
  • Awareness of the inequities that exist across the Te Tai Tokerau Primary Health sector and the impact this has on health outcomes across the rohe, and a desire to proactively support initiatives designed to address these.
  • Demonstrate behaviours that align with Hato Hone St John's core values - Do the right thing (Mahi Tika), Side by Side (Tū Tahi), Straight Up (Mahi Pono), Make it better (Whakapai Ake), Open Minds (Whakaaro Nui)
