Your core mission is to empower a team of sales professionals and ensure they have the support and resources to grow share of wallet and market share. Our client is a key player in the steel industry, with a long standing client base.Key Responsibilities:Sales & Leadership: Directly lead and mentor the sales team to aggressively grow market share and "share of wallet." You'll provide positive reinforcement and coaching to help them navigate sales challenges and celebrate their successes.Profitability & Strategic Growth: Focus relentlessly on driving sales and improving margins. You will work with the wider leadership team to implement powerful growth strategies that leverage our full product range and market knowledge to maximise profitability.Operational Excellence: Oversee all aspects of branch performance, including profit and loss, health and safety, and operations. Your leadership will ensure both branches run smoothly, supporting the sales teams and providing a seamless customer experience.Customer Relationships: Build and nurture strong, enduring relationships with key customers, becoming a trusted advisor who understands their needs and delivers tailored solutions.
The Ideal CandidateWe are looking for a candidate with a strong sales background who understands that every "no" is one step closer to a "yes." You are an inspiring leader who can rally a team and foster a culture of resilience and success.Key Skills & Experience:Proven ability to lead sales teams and drive sales to achieve ambitious growth goals.Strong experience in managing profit and loss and operational performance.Exceptional skills in budgeting, planning, and forecasting.A deep understanding of customer needs and a knack for delivering value-driven solutions.Experience in the steel or related industries is a plus, but not essential.
