- Drive the achievement of gross sales and gross contribution targets through strategic planning and effective execution.
- Implement and maintain a Key Account Strategy and Process, ensuring strong relationships and tailored strategic plans for the top 10 accounts.
- Conduct accurate forecasting to ensure revenue variance within 5% on a weekly basis and precise margin forecasting.
- Regularly conduct business reviews (quarterly for top accounts) and prepare comprehensive reports including monthly revenue, margin, project, inventory, travel, and debtors reports.
- Handle contract negotiations, statements of work, and manage contracts to ensure compliance and optimal terms.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of price indices, manage pricing strategies, and address price variances and anomalies.
- Oversee customer relationships, manage customer feedback surveys, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Identify and convert new customers and markets, maximize volume opportunities from existing customers, and manage product development opportunities.
- Lead the preparation and submission of tenders and requests for proposals RFPs, ensuring competitive and compelling bids.
- Actively contributes to the development of the overall sales strategic plan and generate annual budgets, account plans, and support company and team culture.
- Minimum of 5 years sales experience.
- Good financial skills (pricing, variable costs, gross margins)
- Experience managing large corporate accounts.
- Industry knowledge in packaging, FMCG, manufacturing, or technical environments (BOMs and cost drivers highly regarded).
- Proven track record in new business development and successful conversions.
- Skilled in contract negotiation and pricing strategies.
- Excellent relationship-building and communication skills.
- Strong decision-making and commercial judgement.
- Advanced Excel and data analysis skills.
- Experience with capital return calculations and integrating returns into pricing.
- Numerically savvy, able to manage price indexes and evaluate new opportunities.
