Responsible for: Maintaining all box office activities at the Regent Theatre as required and providing friendly and appropriate information and services as first point of contact for customers and visitors.Functional relationships: All Regent Theatre staffCustomers and visitors of the Regent TheatreStakeholders of the Regent TheatreAppropriate agencies and individuals as identified.The Box Office Assistant is responsible for:
  • Working professionally, cooperatively, and collaboratively in developing and maintaining box office systems that support all the Regent Theatre services.
  • Maintaining good working relationships with all other staff to plan effectively to meet outcomes identified.
  • Maintaining accurate and up to date records and reports as required.
  • Providing friendly, accessible and appropriate information to customers and visitors of the Regent Theatre as our first point of contact (telephone, email, fax, and person to person).
  • Providing friendly, accessible, and appropriate information to other staff.
  • Ensuring communication and database systems are effective in meeting needs of the Regent Theatre’s various operations accurately at all times.
  • Operating professionally and with integrity at all times to ensure customer satisfaction as a priority.
The Box Office Assistant Key Tasks:
  • Ticket selling at the Regent Theatre for individual customers and groups; including in person, telephone, and hard ticketing when required (including door sales at other venues when necessary).
  • Maintaining appropriate cash management systems (including EFTPOS, cash, and credit card transactions) to ensure accuracy of all financial reconciliations across various functions of the role.
  • Proactively maintaining appropriate levels of industry knowledge in order to provide accurate, friendly, and accessible information to customers and visitors of the Regent Theatre as our first point of contact (telephone, email, fax, and person to person).
