Environmental AdvisorAuckland System Management (ASM) is an alliance between Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency, Fulton Hogan and HEB Construction. ASM is responsible for maintenance and renewals of the physical infrastructure and technology, and the provision of operational services that run Auckland's state highway network.We have a fantastic opportunity for a passionate Environmental Advisor to make an impact on a large-scale road maintenance contract. As part of our Environmental and Sustainability team, you will support the ASM in meeting our environmental objectives, compliance standards, and goals. You will also ensure we meet our obligations under the Resource Management Act (RMA) and other relevant environmental legislation.You will work closely with our teams, supporting them with environmental controls, assisting with monitoring, testing, and compliance reporting, conducting site checks and audits, managing and reporting environmental incidents, providing training, contributing to environmental management plans, and supporting resource consent and compliance processes.About you:Our ideal candidate will have the following:

Tertiary qualification in an environmental or related science field (e.g. geography, environmental science, ecology)
Experience in an environmental field or similar
Experience in, or knowledge of the construction industry in operational phases
Knowledge of environmental management e.g. ecology, noise/vibration, ESC, HSNO, compliance, regulation
Experience in environmental advisory roles within construction
Understanding of knowledge of NZ regulatory environment
