- Provide specialist advice on the development of nationally consistent processes for activity relating to Alcohol regulation and compliance
- Location: Flexible
- Permanent, Full-Time
- A national strategy, planning and training of targeted and evidence based regional regulatory activity.
- Nationally consistent and effective systems and processes for regional delivery and reporting of compliance and regulatory activity including development of national standards of practice.
- A relevant graduate and post-graduate qualification. (e.g. Law, Health, Public Administration, Compliance)
- Subject matter expertise in Regulatory approaches and/or alcohol, Smokefree and Regulated Products legislation
- Able to draw on relevant longer-term experience in a regulator/compliance sector, specific to the job and work demands, acquired over time - 3-5 years
- Understanding & experience working in partnership with Pacific communities
- Experience in implementing Te Tiriti o Waitangi in action
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- An ability to build constructive and effective relationships with stakeholders to build a sound understanding of their operational environment and context
- Ability to work in a complex environment
- Proven organisational skills with the ability to think ahead, use initiative, establish priorities and meet deadlines whilst preserving high levels of accuracy and confidentiality
