Position: Occupational Therapist for a Visiting Neurodevelopmental Therapy Role, Child Development ServiceContract: Permanent, Full time (1FTE) – 1 position availableSalary: Allied, Public Health & Technical SECA, Allied, Public Health & Technical Pay Scale ($59,035 - $83,030)Location: Gisborne Hospital, Child Development ServiceAre you interested in working with children with developmental challenges and their whānau in a community focussed service using an equitable and transdisciplinary model of practice?Applicants must be a NZ registered Occupational Therapist with:· A current practising certificate· A thorough knowledge of the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi and a sensitivity to different cultures· A current, clean drivers’ license· A ‘whatever it takes’ approachWe are seeking therapists with a knowledge of a range of disabilities, assessment tools and therapies appropriate for children. However, if you don’t and are keen to develop paediatric skills and learn how to work in a transdisciplinary model with whānau we can offer you a unique opportunity to participate in comprehensive education and on the job training. Applications from new graduates are also very welcome.Our Tairāwhiti Way of Working involves working collectively across agencies to enable whānau to flourish.
