It's a great time to join us and make an impact in shaping the future of our business.Job DescriptionReporting to the Service Supervisor, in this role you will be part of a small team of field and workshop service technicians providing a prompt and effective service to customers within the Water, Power, Petrochemical and other associated Industries.In this role you will identify faults, repair, test and modify actuators in the field and workshop, carry out planned and preventative maintenance, mechanical and electrical installations of actuators and associated retrofit adaption of components, pedestals and drive shafts and completing accurate and technical reports for each job.This role would suit a determined problem-solver, who can think logically for troubleshooting issues.Qualifications
  • Trade qualified. NZ Electrical Service Technician (EST)
  • Experience post apprenticeship in a practical engineering environment
  • Proficient Microsoft Office user i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel
  • Required to attend training courses to attain qualifications, where required. There will also be a requirement to carry out customer inductions, medicals and inoculations where necessary.
  • A full valid driver's license is required.
  • Technical experience and/or relevant knowledge of valves, actuators and digital control systems advantageous
  • Good understanding of basic electronics, electrical and fluid power theories
  • Ability to read and understand electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic schematics and utilization of common test and calibration tools.
