If the land is well, if the sea is well, the people will thrive.The opportunity awaits…We currently have a new and exciting opportunity for an experienced Strategic Projects Advisor to join our Corporate Services team in a full-time, fixed term position for 12 months. This role will be pivotal in ensuring NRC is focused and delivering the best possible service to our communities and environment with the resources available.In this role you will be working with and advising the Executive Leadership team, project team and Managers to deliver the key shifts identified in this organisation-wide review. This will include a wide spectrum of work activities, including report writing, project management, strategy development, planning, and others.Do you have what it takes?You'll be adept at working within NZ government environments, be decisive, and able to engage with all levels of the organisation. In addition you will bring the following to our diverse talent pool:
  • Relevant degree qualification
  • A minimum of 10 years' experience in relevant roles.
  • Excellent critical thinking, research, numerical and analytical skills.
  • Excellent report writing skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • High level of MS Office proficiency.
  • Ability to effectively prioritise, make decisions and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Ability to handle confidential or controversial information with discretion and professionalism.
  • A good understanding of general business activities.
