With a customer-first mindset, we make doing business with McCain easy.About the role.We're seeking a proactive and positive Forklift Driver to join our Coldstore Team as a Production Attendant at our Timaru facility. You will play a key part in safe and efficient product management within a cold storage environment, working a roster of 2 days, 2 nights, and 4 days off.What you’ll be doing.

Safely operate a forklift within a racked cold store facility, handling palletised food products
Work closely with the shift manager and a small, supportive team to manage production put-away
Locate and store products at heights of 1–6 meters using computer-based warehouse management systems
Complete cycle counting and stock reconciliation tasks
Maintain strong commitment to health and safety in all tasks
Participate in a roster consisting of 12-hour shifts:

2 days (7am–7pm), 2 nights (7pm–7am), followed by 4 days off
Support warehouse and production operations in a 24/7 plant alongside a team of eight attendants
Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area
Engage in moderate manual handling (lifting up to 15kg)

What you’ll need to be successful.

Previous forklift operation experience, ideally in cold store or food production environments
Physically fit and able to lift up to 15kg (pre-employment medical check required)
Willingness to work in cold environments and on a shift-based roster
Strong team player with good communication and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and proactively
Current New Zealand driver’s licence
Current OSH certificate
Must hold the right to work in New Zealand (current work visa required, no sponsorship available)
Willingness to undergo medical check, drug screening, and reference checks
