
Sales & Underwriting Consultant

- Evaluating risks & providing insurance quotes for new and existing customers
- Fulfilling customer requests in a timely & efficient way
- Responding to customer and broker queries
- Building and maintaining relationships with customers & brokers
- Managing customer complaints in line with the Suncorp NZ framework
- Comprehensive training in customer service, sales & underwriting-learning how to assess risk and provide insurance solutions for homes, contents & vehicles
- Two months fully paid in-office training, then flexible working (up to 50% from home)
- 37.5 hours per week across a 6-day window
- Monday-Friday: 8:30am-6:30pm
- Saturday: 9am-5pm (only two teams rostered on Saturdays, so you'll often enjoy a Mon-Fri schedule)
- Rosters are published one month in advance, so you can plan life outside of work
- Excellent customer service skills (contact centre experience ideal)
- Strong relationship management & communication skills
- Resilience to handle complex tasks
- Analytical thinking, attention to detail & sound decision-making ability
- Computer literacy & comfort with digital systems

- Previous insurance experience is helpful, but not essential
