Join our team and help shape confident, capable swimmers who understand how to stay safe in and around water.As a Water Safety Instructor, you’ll deliver our dynamic water safety programme, which blends open water and water safety skills competencies. You’ll inspire students and schoolteachers alike through engaging, discovery-based learning and problem-solving activities.
  • Plan and conduct engaging and effective swimming lessons for various age groups and skill levels
  • Demonstrate proper swimming techniques and water safety practices
  • Monitor and provide constructive feedback to students to improve their skills
  • Ensure a safe and positive learning environment in the pool area
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance and progress
  • Promote water safety awareness and educate students on drowning prevention
The schedule for this role is 15 hours per week, and you will need to be available Monday to Friday between 9am - 2:30pm.Why Join Us?

QualificationsOo puumanawa me oo wheako | Your skills and experience
  • Strong swimming abilities and comprehensive knowledge of water safety practices
  • Excellent communication and instructional skills, with the ability to explain concepts clearly
  • Patience and ability to work with people of diverse ages, backgrounds, and skill levels
  • Current certifications in CPR and first aid
  • Preferred qualifications include:
  • Experience teaching swimming lessons or water safety courses
  • Lifeguard certification or experience
  • Knowledge of various swimming strokes and techniques
  • Ability to create and follow structured lesson plans
