We have a fantastic opportunity for a number of Development Analysts to join us and support an exciting period of change at Oranga Tamariki.

At Oranga Tamariki we want to transform the lives of New Zealand tamariki. We have a big journey ahead of us, in order to make it happen we need the right people who are authentic about driving meaningful change, through truly believing in our passion and purpose. Now is an exciting time to be part of this future focused progression.

The Organisational Strategy & Performance team is a small, agile group that works alongside leaders across the Ministry to help shape organisational strategy and make better decisions as Oranga Tamariki builds its operating model in the coming years.

One of the key projects the team is responsible for involves:

About the role:

We’re particularly interested in people with:
  • An understanding of data ecosystems and how data flows through them
  • Experience with SAS, SQL, or other data-focused languages
  • Experience with building tools in Power BI
  • Experience with designing and implementing QA and test plans
  • Self-motivation and the ability to work independently
If you’re looking to use your skills in data, analytics, and information management to make a meaningful difference for tamariki and rangatahi, then this opportunity is for you.

What we offer:

Aotearoa New Zealand is the only place in the world where our unique indigenous culture and language exist.
