You will work with our Employment Relations Manager within the supportive and well respected HR Advisory / Ranga Pūmanawa Tangata team, who provide a professional partnership with academic faculties and service divisions to enable the University to deliver on its people and culture priorities.We are family-friendly, flexible and encourage a balance of on campus and remote working. You will be supported by a wider team of specialist HR colleagues.Reporting to the Employment Relations Manager you will advance the University's ER strategy in support of the University's vision and strategic plan, . With a collaborative and engaging working style, you will engage with unions and oversee a variety of employment relations issues. Success will be measured through your ability to effectively coach and support HR colleagues and University leaders with complex employment relations issues to mitigate risk and achieve results. You will provide expertise across all areas of employment relations and work proactively to continuously improve employment relations processes and practice.QualificationsNga Pūkenga Motuhake | Important SkillsThe ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor of Laws (LLB), have sound knowledge of relevant employment legislation and experience of working effectively with HR, leaders, unions and staff on issues affecting a large complex organisation.Strong stakeholder management and analytical thinking skills, along with a keen eye for detail are key requirements of the job.
