- Focusing on the individuals needs and providing culturally safe practice
- Relevant administrative tasks, comprehensive notes and effective handover, and supporting and collaborating with your colleagues
- Support people with independent daily living skills. You'll need to be prepared to support our clients to do whatever it takes
- While the people you support are asleep, you will be kept busy with other tasks like cleaning and supporting the day shifts with maintaining things like filing, first aid kits, emergency kits and preparation of paperwork
- Preferred but not essential to hold the New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (or a recognised equivalent) or be willing to commence study towards this qualification within six months of starting with us and complete it within 2 years.
- You're non-judgemental and have a genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of those we support, and are prepared to do whatever it takes
- You have high cultural competency, knowledge of, and demonstrable commitment to the principles of the Te Tiriti o Waitangi
- Hold a current full and clean New Zealand driver's licence
- Hold a current comprehensive first aid certificate covering units 6400, 6401 and 6402 or be willing to obtain one within 3 months of employment
