The core values of the organisation are based on Māori concepts Whakawhanaunga, Manaakitanga, Ako and Whakamana.Ngā Ratonga | Our servicesThis is a group-based Day Activity and Living Skills Programme Service in Whangarei supporting whānau who have a mental health related diagnosis or alcohol or drug addiction and require support from a dynamic team of people. This team of people have a focus on recovery, rehabilitation and seeing people thrive within their community - could you see yourself in this team?He kōrero mō te tūranga | The RoleThis position is permanent part-time (30 hours per week) Monday to Friday and will start July 1st 2024.Your main role will be delivery of programmes to groups of people. As part of that we are looking for someone who can bring skills and knowledge with them that could be transferred into classes you facilitate. For example, are you able to teach a musical instrument, do any sort of wellness activities, able to facilitate Tikanga Māori, or any other life skill-based activities? This would be an advantage so please let us know in your CV. You will support our whanau by contributing to the development and delivery of programmes to groups of people that will assist them in developing and maintaining life skills and support systems, maximising resiliency, recovery and self-help. Along with facilitation, you will also provide administration and coordination support including purchasing required materials for the classes..He kōrero mōu | About YouYou will need:
  • A New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing Level 4 (or equivalent) or able to work towards one.
  • Experience working in mental health.
  • Experience delivering programmes.
  • Resilience and strong personal and professional boundaries
  • A calm and patient approach to the challenges you may face
  • A current Full New Zealand driver's licence
  • The right to work in New Zealand.
