In every aspect of our work, we are committed to helping whānau be the best they can be.He kōrero mō te tūranga | The RoleWe are on the lookout for committed and passionate support workers to join our team and provide dedicated support to tangata Whaiora. We are a six bed 24/7 residential service based in the Hutt Valley. This is a fantastic opportunity to have a direct impact on the lives of people in the community to help them to reconnect, learn, grow, and live as independently as possible. We welcome applicants who have a passion to see others succeed while you also work on your own development.We have 2 positions available:

Permanent full-time position - 40 hours Per week, working 24/7 rostered shifts (this includes 2 wakeover shifts and weekend work).
Permanent part-time position - 32 hours per week, working 24/7 rostered shifts (this includes weekend work).

Your duties will include but are not limited to:

Establish a rapport with tangata whaiora and their whanau.
Provide day to day support in alignment with client/ tangata whaiora goals and support plans including risk management plans and Safety Plans.
Work with tangata whaiora to identify significant goals. Provide encouragement and support clients to achieve their goals.
Attend and contribute to team meetings, bringing ideas and updating others on their activities.
Ensure all incidents are documented appropriately.

He kōrero mōu | About YouWe are looking for someone who can demonstrate understanding and empathy when working with those people who have mental health and addiction issues. You will need to be flexible to work daytime and overnight shifts with the ability to undertake normal housekeeping and cleaning duties as well as support people in active recreation. We are a diverse team who are passionate about making positive differences in people's lives.To be successful in this role, you will need:

NZ Certificate in Health and Wellbeing, Level 4 or be able to demonstrate your current plans to achieve this mandatory requirement.
Ability to work collaboratively with mental health professionals and within our team.
Experience in the mental health sector.
Must be flexible to work around rostered shifts.
Demonstrated commitment to recovery values.
Advanced communication and interpersonal skills.
Should be eligible to work in New Zealand.
A current full driver's licence.
