Based out of our Rydges Wellington Airport location, this role will be responsible for for taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere, across our 3 new airport F&B venues, starting in early October 2025.Our Vision is to be the most highly regarded hospitality, leisure and entertainment company outperforming our markets by being better than yesterday, every day.Our Purpose is to make the day better for ourselves, each other, our group, our customers, and communities. - Greet and Seat Guests: Warmly welcome guests, assist with seating arrangements, and provide them with menus.
- Take Orders: Knowledgeably describe menu items, answer questions, and take orders accurately, noting any special requests or dietary restrictions.
- Serve Food and Beverages: Deliver food and drinks promptly and ensure they are presented according to standard.
- Check on Guests: Regularly check in with diners to ensure they have everything they need and address any concerns.
- Maintain Cleanliness:Keep the area clean and well-organised, including clearing tables, resetting, and restocking.
- Collaborate with Kitchen Team: Communicate orders to the kitchen and ensure that food is prepared correctly and delivered promptly.
- Handle Payments: Present bills to guests, process payments accurately.
- Upsell and Promote:Suggest additional menu items, specials, or beverages to enhance the guests’ experience.
- Handle Guest Requests: Address special requests and accommodate guests' needs to the best of your ability.
- Safety and Hygiene:Follow safety and hygiene protocols, including proper handling of food and beverages, as well as maintaining a clean and safe work environment. Adhere to health and safety regulations.
- Flexibility in work schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Previous experience in a similar role.
- Proven knowledge of food and beverage items, including wine and cocktails (training will be provided).
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items.
