This is a newly created role, and a great career opportunity for an experienced Process Development Engineer to oversee the process development of the new manufacturing processes across the operation. With the products being implantable medical devices the process will have to be built to incorporate the highest standards of GMP.Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer, this is a role will require strategic and practical skills, collaborating with your colleagues and external experts, and working to tight timelines and budgets. As you are joining the company in its very early stages, you'll have a real impact on the company's future and upcoming success.Please note, this job will require relocation as it is based in Palmerston North.About You, the Candidate:
This is a key position in the development of our client's operation and so as a suitable candidate you will have significant experience in process development within a medical device (or possibly pharmaceutical) manufacturing environment. Moreover, you'll have a practical engineering and process flow understanding and will have worked in an environment where you don't mind getting your hands dirty (metaphorically speaking, that is!) and enjoy the thrill of building something yourself. You will have strong communication and interpersonal skills, time management and a keen eye for detail.This opportunity will suit someone who is looking to further develop their career, enjoys a challenge, is self-motivated, and is excellent at collaborating with others. The successful candidate will have the following qualifications, experience, and characteristics:
- Bachelor or Master's degree in Engineering or a related field.
- 5+ years' experience in a similar role in pharmaceuticals or medical devices.
- Experienced with development, commissioning and validation of processing equipment
- Ability to multitask and prioritise workload.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Happy to be based in Palmerston North (essential).
