Requirements
We're searching for talented QAs who are interested in joining us on our journey as we extend, adapt and improve our products. Most importantly, we look for people who are keen to learn and help us find new and innovative ways to build well-crafted software that delights customers.
What you'll be doing
- Collaborating with cross-functional product engineering teams to create quality software that our customers love
- Actively contributing towards continuous improvement in the crews processes and practices
- Working in a “you build it, you run it” environment where engineering teams build, deploy, monitor and support the components that they own
- Assisting the engineering team “shift quality to the left” by using interim techniques such as Blitz Testing, Dogfooding, Developer on Test, QA Kick-offs, Fire Drills and Show Me’s.
- Ensuring that the engineering team implement automated checks at different levels by kick-offs and pairing up with them (such as unit tests, integration and component tests to facilitate continuous delivery)
- Applying modern QA practices using exploratory testing and a context driven approach to testing (do all testing while paired up with engineers)
- Experience with a variety of testing such as: functional, non-functional, system, interoperability, regression, negative, automated, GUI, browser, API and database
- An interest in learning and applying new techniques such as; Test-Driven Development, testing in a DevOps environment, pairing with the engineer, continuous improvement through experimentation and being involved in code review.
- An interest in learning and adopting quality assistance practices to move quality to the left i.e. test early approach, automation and continuous delivery
- Openness to receiving and giving feedback in a safe and inclusive work environment
- Confidence to pushback or challenge when quality is at risk
- Great verbal and written communication skills
