We would love to hear from you and have you on our team.to view the position description.(Please note position descriptions can only be viewed on the Te Whatu Ora - Waikato website.)Mō tātou Ratonga | About our ServiceIn response to the LMC Midwife shortage, the demand on Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora, Waikato as the provider of Maternity Care has seen the establishment of a Thames and Coromandel, Caseload Midwifery Team (CMT) to ensure women and pregnant people have access to maternity care close to their own home. This midwifery service will provide antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal care to pregnant people living in the Thames Coromandel rohe.Mōu | About youRequired skills & experience you will need to be considered for this role:Knowledge and understanding of Te Tiriti o WaitangiNew Zealand Midwifery Registration, with a current Annual Practicing Certificate with no conditions on scope of practiceAt least 3 years midwifery experienceDemonstrate clinical and cultural competence to a high standardHolds a current NZ Drivers LicenceEffectively communicates to provide advocacy and support for pregnant women and their whānau if requiredAbility to access & use the available clinical information systemsMaintains own professional development & attends relevant IT education programmesExperience in working with whānau with complex needsDemonstrated experience of working within a Te Ao Māori environment and understanding Tikanga Māori, and/or experience working within a bicultural context with diverse communities and/or organisationsDesired;Previous midwifery community , primary maternity or LMC experienceTo have achieved confident or higher level on Quality and Leadership ProgrammeBe self-motivated and front footed both in a large organisation and community settingKo wai mātou | Our OrganisationTe iwi Ngakaunui – People at HeartWhakamana – Give and earn respectWhakaronga – Listen to me; Talk to meMauri Pai – Fair playWhakapakari – Growing the goodKotahitanga – Stronger togetherIt is not very often something happens that is big; like, really big.
