Seeking a Consultant General Medicine Physician with subspecialist training in endocrinology and diabetes for a permanent full time contract in a 308 bed public sector hospital in the centre of New Zealand's North Island, offering competitive remuneration, relocation package and generous leave.Position Highlights:
- join a multidisciplinary Medicine Services team.
- Duties will include outpatient sessions at two hospitals, inpatient care, Endocrinology and Diabetes investigations/procedures and on-call duties as per the physician’s roster.
- You will also have the chance to liaise closely with junior medical staff and advise on assessment, investigation and treatment approach to patients.
- permanent, full time contract
- 24-hour access to Radiology, Laboratory and Blood bank services.
- Tier 2 ED open 24/7
- acute services on site but transfer out to Waikato Hospital for tertiary referral
- Resident Medical Officers who are a mix of Registrars, Senior House Officers and House Officers support consultants
- well-regarded structured teaching programme which offers protected teaching time
- Eligible for vocational or provisional vocational registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand
- FRACP or equivalent qualification
- subspecialist training in endocrinology and diabetes
- Salary and allowances in accordance with national agreement
- 6 weeks annual leave, 10 days study leave plus NZD 16K for expenses
