Behind the scenes, we have many dedicated individuals who bring together best practice processes and systems to ensure our ongoing commitment to the New Zealand market.We are looking for a QA Technician to support all aspects of Hardgoods sourced by Farmers. The primary focus of this role is to ensure that the relevant New Zealand Regulatory Standards in product safety, compliance, and any specific Farmers quality standards are met.Key responsibilities include but not limited to:

Establish and maintain relationships with relevant areas of the business eg: Stores, Buyers, Distribution Centre, Vendors
Ensure Quality Assurance and Control measures are implemented for assigned food, cosmetic and homeware categories
Provide prompt and timely technical support and guidance
Investigating customer returns, generating reports, providing solutions and highlighting any potential risks to the business
Liaise with third parties when needed to conduct adequate testing (in-house/external) before bringing products to market or apply corrective actions to meet compliance requirements
Ensuring relevant New Zealand regulatory standards are met and that no non-compliant product enters the Farmers business
Comply with Health & Safety regulations and Farmer's policies

Qualifications and Experience:

Tertiary qualification in science, food, chemistry or biology field
Solid experience in quality assurance from a production or retail environment
Sound knowledge of food safety laws, medicines act and dietary supplement regulations
Familiar with HSNO ACT, transportation of dangerous goods and FDA certification
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Suite
