| - |Are you an engineer experienced working with metal material properties - metal deflection, deformation, yielding?Have you proven experience working with metal fabrication design or tooling design?This is a challenging role where every project requires understanding the science behind how metal behaves during deformation to being rolled and deformed - taking the customer's needs and undertaking the appropriate design and calculations to provide the desired end product.You will be designing die tooling for heavy machinery plant - seeing projects through from concept to commissioning.Specifically, you will:

Design new tooling machinery taking into account tight tolerances and material deformation and yielding properties.
Provide technical support during design, manufacture, and through to commissioning.
Be involved in sales concept meetings to provide input into quotes and tenders.

To be successful in the role you will:

Be a tertiary qualified engineer
Have proven design experience working with metal material properties - metal deflection, deformation, yielding, and tight tolerances.
Have proven ability in mathematics and engineering calculations.
Be proficient in AutoCAD
Have an understanding of manufacturing fabrication processes
Be a genuine people person with strong communication skills who works well with others
