Waikato Milking Systems global headquarters and engineering divisions are located in Hamilton, NZ with offices and Warehouses in Australia, USA, UK, Ireland, and China, with agents and customers in every dairying nation in the world.Job DescriptionWe have positions available now for qualified, Stainless Fabricators to join our friendly team, at Waikato Milking Systems based at Horotiu, in the Waikato. In this role you will undertake high quality, TIG welding to agreed standards, manufacturing high quality products for the Dairy/Agri tech sector in our NZ and overseas markets.QualificationsTo be successful you will:
  • Have completed and attained an Engineering Fabrication (Light Fabrication) L4 qualification with a minimum of 3 years' experience in primarily TIG welding (MIG advantageous)
  • Enjoy working with stainless steel
  • Have practical engineering workshop experience and knowledge of the end-to-end design to manufacture process
  • Be 'fussy,' with a keen eye for detail
  • Be knowledgeable of metals and their properties
  • Be physically fit
  • Be comfortable and proficient with hand tools and handling metals
  • Be committed to quality and continuous improvement
  • Be an excellent communicator and contributor to a great team
  • Have a strong work ethic
  • Have a current, clean NZ Drivers Licence
