- Establish a rapport with tangata whaiora and their whanau.
- Provide day to day support in alignment with client/ tangata whaiora goals and support plans including risk management plans and Safety Plans.
- Work with tangata whaiora to identify significant goals. Provide encouragement and support clients to achieve their goals.
- Attend and contribute to team meetings, bringing ideas and updating others on their activities.
- Ensure all incidents are documented appropriately.
- A Level 4 National Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (or equivelent) or a commitment to obtaining it within 2 years.
- Ability to work collaboratively with mental health professionals and within our team.
- Experience working in a similar role.
- Must be flexible to work around rostered shifts.
- Demonstrated commitment to recovery values.
- Advanced communication and interpersonal skills.
- Eligible to work in New Zealand.
- A current full driver's licence.
