The reason for the fixed term is to cover parental leave for up to 12 months.The Speech-language Therapist is an integral part of multidisciplinary team function and in this role you will be working closely with the clinical team to assess and manage acute presentations and longstanding impairments, contribute to discharge planning and provide ongoing intervention to support people to remain as functional as possible in their homes and communities.Team/Service/LocationIf you have a passion for working with clients to maximise communication and assess / manage swallow impairments across a range of clinical areas (acute medical, rehabilitation and paediatrics) in a secondary hospital setting this is the role you have been waiting for.   • You will be registered with the New Zealand Speech-language Therapists' Association and hold a current practising certificate.
  • Have solid experience across adult and paediatric general health settings.
