We are on an exciting journey to becoming a world class manufacturer and are in the midst of making this vision a reality.We are looking for an experienced Welder to join our team with extensive transformer industry experience, who will assist the team in manufacturing the highest quality distribution transformers. We have a position available on our Night Shift Fabrication Department for a 40-hours per week permanent position.Responsibilities:As part of our team, you will have skills to:

To read and understand Engineering/CAD transformer design, drawings and blueprints requirements
Cut, shape, join and bend metal sections and shapes using appropriate welding techniques and tools.
Fabricate and repair metal products using welding techniques
Set and operate machines including cleaning and maintenance.
Cut marked-out metal sections and shapes using hand tools, flame cutting torches, and metal cutting machines
Shape and bend metal sections and pipes using hand and machine tools, and by heating and hammering
Clean and smooth welds by filing, chiselling, and grinding
Finish product to reflect quality and precision following necessary welding methods whilst using solutions to bathe and polish the product

Requirements:

Proven work experience in Fabrication/Welding Manufacturing environment, minimum of 3-5 years' experience in the transformer industry
Mechanical aptitude
A high level of reliability and conscientiousness
Be able to pass a drug and alcohol test
Be able to pass a MOJ check to our satisfaction
Be a safety champion and able to follow instructions

We Offer:

Night shift - 4:30pm to 1:00am, with a starting rate of $30.00 to $35.00 per hour based on experience. (including Night Shift allowance)
