And our global opportunities are endless for you to grow and get recognised for your passion to perform.We are currently seeking a Field Service Technician specializing in fire alarm protection to join our Honeywell Service Business based in our Auckland office (Freemans Bay). Reporting to the Field Service Supervisor your focus will be on contributing to solutions that enable our customers to keep their buildings operating safely, efficiently, and comfortably across our commercial sites in NZ. You will be responsible for ensuring all agreed tasks are delivered to date, to budget and to specification.Key Responsibilities:· To keep abreast of and maintain sites and customer needs by continued development of customer relationships· Onsite commissioning and testing fire alarm systems as part of contracted fire protection services for our customers· Programming and configuration of Honeywell fire alarm panels· Installation, configuration, service and maintenance of fire alarm devices· Creation and maintenance of relevant as-built documentation· Collaborating with other technical representatives, Account Managers, Engineers etc.· Identifying sales and service opportunities· To keep technical knowledge current - may require additional activities, such as self-learning on technical products· Keep customer fully informed of possible system enhancements and upgrade pathsKey Experience & Capabilities:· NZQA fire protection qualifications or considerable experience (3+ years) in the fire alarm protection industry· A comprehensive understanding of fire alarm protection systems including fault-finding and diagnostics· Confident knowledge of New Zealand fire standard NZS 4512, building and service regulations and statutory obligations· Sprinkler systems and/or fire suppression experience will also be highly regarded· Strong customer relation skills with commitment to customer satisfaction· Ability to communicate complex issues with clarity, both written and verbally· Ability to work under pressure and capacity to deliver against multiple objectives· Collaborative attitude with a customer focused mind set· Ability to identify technical solutions to customer business needsAbout UsThe world is changing.
