- Lead by example in the daily cleaning and checking of guest rooms, staff areas, and public spaces to maintain TRIBE’s high standards.
- Take initiative to personalize guest experiences, ensuring every stay feels unique and memorable.
- Safeguard guest privacy and belongings, delivering service with discretion and care.
- Oversee laundry operations, ensuring cost-effective use of linen and assisting with inventories as directed.
- Support team productivity and morale, helping to motivate and develop housekeeping team members.
- Coordinate shift activities, ensuring procedures are followed and tasks are completed to standard.
- Conduct daily briefings, sharing updates, priorities, and addressing any issues.
- Ensure smooth handovers between shifts, communicating clearly and accurately.
- Assist with rostering, balancing team coverage with budget and compliance (e.g. visa conditions and working rights).
- Champion training and development, supporting skill-building in collaboration with People & Culture.
- Maintain strong interdepartmental communication, ensuring efficient room turnover and guest satisfaction.
- Monitor inventory, including chemicals, linen, supplies, and uniforms.
- Respond professionally to guest feedback, ensuring timely follow-up and escalation when needed.
- Promote safety and compliance, ensuring all team members follow WHS standards and emergency procedures.
- Uphold grooming standards, conducting daily checks to maintain a polished team presentation.
- Manage lost property procedures, ensuring accuracy and accountability.
- Relief Housekeeping Supervisor (In Absence of Supervisor)
- Prepare morning reports (occupied, vacant, check-outs, out-of-order rooms).
- Assist with recruitment and onboarding of new team members.
- Liaise with external contractors for laundry and cleaning services.
- Prepare departmental reports and updates for the Cluster Executive Housekeeper and General Manager.
- Implement strategies to improve guest comfort and team productivity.
- At least 2 years experience of Room Attendant / Self Checker.
- Passion for interacting with people, with the ability to communicate fluently in English.
- Ability to work well under pressure in our fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
- Highly responsible & reliable
- Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team
- Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
- You must have valid working rights for New Zealand, this role is not open to AEWV.
