Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is firmly grounded in the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and is dedicated to serving all New Zealanders.About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced registered nurse with relevant experience to join the Whakatane Peritoneal dialysis nursing team – Renal services. This is a permanent part-time working 20 hours a week.The Speciality Clinical Nurse role is to provide specialised client centred care, education and advice to enable patients with chronic renal failure to optimize renal function (ESRF) and manage renal replacement therapy (PD).The specialty clinical nurse contributes to equity of access to care and navigation of the care pathway. You will be partnering with other health professionals, which ensures safe and evidenced based delivery of care for patients within the Bay of Plenty district. The patient and whanau are at the centre of the model of care.You will provide clinical expertise and contributes to the advancement of professional knowledge and skills using evidence-based practice.Ensure equity of access to the specialty nursing service and support to patients and families/whanau to assist them in understanding and participating in treatment choices and ongoing health care needs.About the Team/Service/ LocationWe work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary environment, striving to provide the highest quality services and maximising each patient's functional recovery.
