We are also proud to have strong connections with local schools and community services through our Kāhui Ako, helping tamariki transition smoothly into the next stage of their learning journey.You will be joining a dedicated and experienced teaching team who are passionate about early childhood education and committed to fostering a love of learning in every child.About the RoleWe are looking for a registered and certificated ECE Kaiako to join us in a permanent role. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to our community while working in a supportive and collaborative environment.As one of our kaiako, you will:
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues in a positive, team-focused environment
  • Champion bicultural practice and integrate te ao Māori into everyday learning
  • Use ICT with confidence as a teaching and learning tool
  • Build strong relationships with tamariki, whānau, and the community to support learning outcomes
To be successful in this role, you will:
  • Be a team player who is flexible, collaborative, and confident working independently when needed
  • Have a deep understanding of play-based learning and how to foster curiosity and creativity
  • Show inclusiveness and sensitivity to the diverse needs of all ākonga
  • Share our commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and lead with bicultural practice
  • Demonstrate excellent communication, relationship-building, planning, and assessment skills
  • Bring a strong focus on sustainability and naturally weave kaitiakitanga into your teaching practice
