- Support safe planning and site execution
- Develop and manage inspection and test plans
- Perform quality checks and compile documentation
- Ensure correct environmental controls are in place
- Provide setout info and technical input as needed
- Promote a culture of quality and environmental care
- Apply and uphold HEB's safety procedures
- Identify hazards and participate in briefings and training
- Ensure compliance with safe work practices and PPE use
- Contribute to incident reporting and investigations
- Support the implementation of temporary safety measures
- Assist with procurement, cost tracking and invoicing
- Prepare purchase orders and variation claims
- Contribute to contract programmes and tender support
- Perform key commercial support tasks
- As part of your duties as a site engineer, you may be required to work on other projects
- You're looking for a role that mixes fieldwork with project coordination, and you're eager to get hands-on experience in construction.
- You have a Master's degree in civil engineering and/or construction and already had a first experience-internship, apprenticeship, or job-that gave you a solid understanding of how a site operates.
- You make Health & Safety a priority. You follow the rules and actively contribute to maintaining a safe work environment for everyone.
- You're comfortable with the fast pace and direct communication of construction sites, and your can-do attitude helps you face challenges head-on.
- You've got strong interpersonal skills and enjoy being part of a team. Your curiosity and openness make it easy for you to adapt and integrate quickly.
- You speak fluent English and feel confident communicating in any context-on site, in meetings, or day-to-day-and you're excited about the opportunity to live and work in New Zealand, making the most of everything it has to offer.
- You have your driver's license, and you're ready to move between sites if needed.
