Senior Advisor – Government Ministry

This is a senior advisory role with a focus on ministerial appointments and governance. You’ll support Cabinet and APH processes, engage directly with board chairs, ministers, and the Public Service Commission, and provide high-level strategic policy advice. Some positions may also involve monitoring Crown entities, including developing performance measures, audit frameworks, and risk models.Mōu | About you

- Proven experience in providing high-quality strategic policy advice
- Strong analytical skills with ability to translate complex issues into clear recommendations
- Knowledge of Cabinet and ministerial processes (APH, appointments)
- Understanding of legislation, regulatory frameworks, or public sector funding
- Experience gained within a government ministry or Crown entity in New Zealand, Australia, or the UK
