
Restructuring and Insolvency Senior Manager

- Assisting with the management of formal insolvency engagements including receiverships, liquidations, and voluntary administrations in accordance with relevant legislation.
- Assisting with securing, recovering and realising assets during formal insolvency engagements, including in relation to the trading of businesses.
- Assisting with investigations, including in the developing and bringing of legal claims.
- Day to day management of insolvency files in accordance with NZ legislation
- Commercial analysis of distressed entities
- Reviewing creditor claims for distribution purposes.
- Drafting advice and preparing statutory and special purpose reports.
- A relevant tertiary qualification, preferably in accounting, law or property.
- A relevant professional qualification, including Chartered Accountant (CA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or legal qualification, or working towards this.
- Good leadership and project management skills.
- Ability to deal with people professionally in stressful situations.
- An inquisitive nature and the ability to think “outside the square”.
- Excellent communication skills.
- At least five year's relevant experience in managing insolvency engagements and/or investigations of insolvent entities.
- A reasonable understanding of insolvency legislation and practices.
- Experience using software such as Xero and Microsoft Excel.
